Ray Allen began his basketball journey at the college level before launching his professional career. In 2001, he earned a spot on the esteemed UConn All-Century Basketball Team, which consisted of the top 25 players in the history of the University of Connecticut’s basketball program. During the 1996 NBA draft, he was initially selected as the fifth pick by the Minnesota Timberwolves but was swiftly traded to the Milwaukee Bucks in exchange for the fourth pick, Stephon Marbury.
